Quality Control

ACPT maintains quality control to MIL-I-45208A and MIL-STD-1520C. ACPT is included on the approved vendor list of many major aerospace and defense-oriented corporations.

Design & Analysis
From quick calculation on paper to complete finite element analysis, ACPT's staff have proven time and again to truely understand the capabilities of composite materials.

Filament Winding

  • Computer controlled machine, 4-axis with capacity to 132" diameter and 348" length
  • Computer controlled machine, 4-axis with capacity to 48" diameter and 252" length
  • 2 Computer controlled machines, 3-axis with 8 spindles for large volume production
  • Mechanically controlled machine with 72" diameter and 240" length

Lamination

  • Climate Controlled Clean Room
  • Remote Centralized Vacuum and Pressure Systems
  • Vacuum Mixer

Curing

  • Autoclaves:
    • 100 psi, 600ºF, 4' diameter by 4' deep
    • 200 psi, 650ºF, 10' diameter by 26' deep (off site)
  • Hydraulic Presses (laminating and compression molding)
  • Air Circulating Ovens up to 35' x 8' x 6'
  • Lab and Vacuum Ovens

Machine Shop

  • Lathes, up to 31" swing, 44" gap and 20' bed
  • Centerless Sander

  • Walk-in Freezer for prepreg and adhesive storage
